yardley's english lavender soap.

being dirt poor has its advantages.  for example, you will often be forced into buying the absolute cheapest option of a product and on occasion you will stumble upon a gem, a very cheap--like seriously kind of sketchy cheap--but nonetheless a gem.

my gem is walmart's 99 cent lavender dream in soap form {that may or may not have been mentioned in a recent movie preview honoring one of the founders of class}.  reminds me of crabtree & evelyn goodness that frequently fills my christmas stocking with its mesmerizing scent.  but for about, oh, 1/100th of the price.  but why exactly it's the cheapest brand at the cheapest store?  i'm not complaining.

so cheer up, fellow poverty stricken friends!  we may be poor, but we smell like gold!
