she may not be able to hear high pitched ringing sounds coming from the tv but...

listening seems to be a big deal to me.  sure, i talk a lot...but that doesn't mean that the more i say the less value it has.  no such thing as too much of a good thing in this particular case.  most people don't understand that logic.  my mother, on the other hand, is a seasoned pro.  this girl remembers just about everything i have ever told her, has sat through hours of story telling, random fact spouting, loads of pointless details about every interaction i have throughout the day, and my daily vent session.  she even reads about it all on this here blog.  she listens, offers golden advice, pity laughs, and asks how everything had turned out the next day.  it may seem silly, but that is one gigantic reason, alongside about a trillion other equally as large reasons, why i love my mom.  23 years of motherhood and still getting better every single day.
happy mother's day, mama.
i love you to the moon and back.
now come talk to me some more, i probably have a story to tell you or something....

my mama...

is a superhero.
she works hard.
her family is her life.
she's recently childless:
a missionary mom
a college student mom.
she has such a sweet spirit.
she is a return missionary
and a daughter of goodly parents.
a strong testimony.
a great sense of humor.
a wrinkle-free face.
she will do
anything
for
anyone
at
anytime.
she gives the best advice.
she makes beautiful babies.

cooks the yummiest meals.
she is a wonderful wife.
and a magnificent mother.
i want to be just like her someday.

{i love you, mama.}
