hug a grandparent today.

my grandpa jack is better than yours.  no battle.  he is.  and always will be.  does your grandpa walk 60 miles in 3 days, from salt lake to payson {a good 60-70 miles} for his birthday? is your grandpa not only the oldest competitor in the senior games triathlon,but a gold medalist?  did your grandpa come to your dance recitals, drill performances,and piano recitals and never fail to tell you how talented you are?  does he tell you how you are the most beautiful person he's ever seen each time you come to visit? did your grandpa serve in the navy, marry his sweetheart, raise 11 kids, serve multiple missions, teach his grandbabies to play poker, respect the holiness of july 11, get an education and love every opportunity to learn, love the gospel of jesus christ, love reading, and support your family in everything that they do?  well mine does all of that, and then some.  he is my hero, even as he lays in his home hospital bed and begins his journey home.  he always will be.
