action words.

that's it.
i love elementary school.
i truly think being an elementary school teacher will be
thee funniest job ever.
{being on seinfeld is a close second.}
i finished observing classes yesterday
and i wanted to cry.
i love those crazy kids.
listen to what i overheard while minding my own business in the back of the class...

conversation #1.
teacher:  the ballet will be here on friday for the assembly so stop complaining about how boring it is going to be.
class:  boo!
teacher:  my sixth grade class loved the ballet.
class: ...oh.  maybe it won't be that bad.
favorite boy in the class (fbic):  of course it won't be bad.  ballet is AWESOME!  trust me, i used to take it.
girl:  YOU took ballet??!!  are you a girl?
class:  {laughs uproariously}
fbic:  {leans to me and whispers} they laugh now but what they don't know is that ballet made me really rock at all my soccer techniques.
me:  {nods and holds up my hand for a high five.}
how cool is he?
conversation #2.
teacher:  tell me some action words.
class:  {loudly, all at once, yell} skip, jump, play...
fbic:  {peacefully raises his hand and patiently waits for the teacher to call on him}  assassinate.
teacher:  {awkwardly trying to move on} uh...yeah...anyone else?
second favorite kid on class:  is mustard an action word?

i'm not sure how well he understands verbs yet.
conversation situation #3.
a scored a phone number
from a fourth grader.
twice.
jealous?
i am in for a future full of laughter!

You are such a doll. Thanks for the comment on the ole' blog today. Made me smile. We so should do a gelato-run and take some pictures and send them to him. I think he'd like that.
