month of love and birthday.

i have learned to love reading.
i read
at work
at school
at home
in bed
at the gym{which is more difficult than previously imagined.}
or whenever else i have a chance.
sometimes {like today for example} i have to work on sundays.
i am always scheduled during church.
so while i sit at a desk and stare at a wall
my roommates are all being enlightened and stuff.
then i feel guilty.
so since i can't quit my job
meaning i can't always make it to church
i bring church to work with me.
{wait...that sounds weird}
translation:
i bring church books with me to work.
so that way i can fulfill my occupational duties
while being spiritually uplifted.
score.
the book of the day
is standing for something
by gordon b. hinckley.
this book {which is fabulous}
discusses "10 neglected virtues
that will heal our hearts and homes."

sidenote:
the only thing i like about february is my birthday.
{which is thursday if i haven't been talking to you recently and happened to bring it up.}
everything else about "the month of love" is heartbreaking and
really rough on my self esteem.
love.  lame.

ironically.
the first "neglected virtue" is
love.
once again, gordonbee {what i like to call my favorite prophet, but in the most respectful way possible.}
shared some beautiful insights.

so only because i read this today
and it happens to be around
hallmark's and hershey's
favorite holiday....

"love is the security for which children weep, the yearning of youth, the adhesive that binds marriage, and the lubricant that prevents devastating friction in the home; it is the peace of old age, the sunlight of hope shining through death."

"ignorant people are always saying, 'i wonder what he sees in her,' not realizing that what he sees in her
(and what no one else can see) is the secret essence of love."

"love is the only force that can erase the differences between people or bridge the chasms of bitterness."

"love is not an investment; it is an adventure."

 feelin' the love?
i am.
thanks again, hinckley.
oh and good luck to
future mr. paige
in advance.
p.s. speaking of love.  i LOVE this.
{my handsome grandpa jack
with the sweetest little note
to grandma.}
