family room picnic.

when i was small {in age not in size...well i guess in size too}
mom and dad would let
sister and i
loose for fhe.
they would put us in charge of a meal course
and we'd search harmon's for whatever tickled our fancy.
we'd take home our secret pick
prepare it
and present it to the fam
as we sat on a big picnic-y quilt
spread out on the family room floor.
this was our parent's way of saving money
while letting us go wild in a grochery store.
well.
we tried it again.
without sister wightman this time.
