things that must go.

1.  the phrase "i don't bite," especially when spoken mid-conversation. with a stranger that claims went to your high school but you are almost positive he did not. also...i am not usually afraid that people are going to bite me...but if you are trying to make me feel comfortable lay off of that phrase because it does anything but.
2. saying "you know who you are" in an oscar acceptance speech. um...hello. they might know who they are but isn't the point of the oscars to give recognition to the deserving? if i "knew who i was" in an oscar speech...i'd be filled with fury.
