his brown eyed girl.

{me, dad, and a rock that i think i said we should pretend was courtney...i am weird sometimes.}
things that my dad has taught me...
1.  the football basics.  because of which i know to never hold anything important {i.e. my wedding, the birth of my children, ect.} between the end of august to the end of november.  also if i marry a man who roots for red, i might be disowned.  but really a man who cheers for red is no man at all, right dad?
2.  work hard and play hard.  whenever i am hating my life due to school stress, my dad's suggestions are to do everything i can to do well in school and then play.  i love that.  and i do just what my wise father says.
3.  the magic of movies.  i can't remember a time that my dad wasn't talking about, watching, or recording a movie to better enhance my movie life.  so movies are one of my most favoritist things ever, natch.
4.  the wonders of diet coke.  i am pretty sure that i learned how to drink diet coke from a big gulp straw before a bottle.  and we don't believe that is a bad thing.
5.  how to make fantastic lists.  see above for proof.

i love my dad.  and it has nothing to do with the fact that he just bought me tickets to my love's slc concert.  it does, however, have a little to do with my love for this article i just read {and recommend if you think you might love your dad as much as i do!}and thought, "hey yeah my dad is this great...and then some."  {which is REALLY saying something since the author of the article happens to be lavell edward's daughter aka mine and dad's hero.}

dad. you are great. i am so grateful for the way that you raised me. i have never had to question your love for the gospel, mom, courtney, or me. you are the greatest example to me in so many ways. thank you for having such tanable skin and thick hair because i definitely got those genes. so proud to be your brown eyed girl.
