3. 7-11 loves me back.

today my break at work was the best break ever.  it's odd since i wasn't hungry and all i wanted was a big gulp from 7-11 {oh thank heaven}so i did just that.  skipped dinner {sorry mom.  i know dinner is important.  sorry natalie.  i always tell you to eat and i did not.} and went to sev {does anyone besides my dad call 7-11 "sev"?  try it. it's fun!} and got me my diet coke fix.

i filled up my big gulp.
i smiled at the slurpee machine {because i love slurpees and wished i could get that too.}
then proceeded to the register.

the cashier said cash only.
and i said....bbbbut i don't have any.  {imagine my saddest voice because that is exactly how it sounded}
but i have a check! i said.
okay sure.  he said.
so i wrote a check for $1.06
then my mind told my mouth to say this feels weird because it did feel weird to write a check for $1.06.
the cashier started laughing.  yes it is very weird to write checks for that much. 
he laughed some more.
you very funny. {he did in fact say it like that}
he laughed some more.
i started to feel like he was making fun of me and my soccer mom of a checkbook.
okay actually the card machine is working. he said.
i ripped up the check, swiped my card and listen to the cashier laugh some more.  he was amused by this.
you welcome back anytime friend! he said.  and i smiled. 
oh i will definitely be back friend. i said.  bye raj!
 then i left and wondered if he only lets people he finds humorous use the credit card machine.
so just in case you need a diet coke fix or a slurpee any time soon, i'd bring cash or prepare a few jokes.
